There's comedy, romance, adventure, action, a PLOT in shoujo!!!! and tons of Japanese mythology.

Thankfully, this series is continuing, but it truly felt like a conclusion to the series as we finally learn the secrets as to why Mikage left the shrine, who Nanami is, etc. I never thought the mangaka could pull off such a complex story with ease. She stood up for herself and kicked butt, which is something rare in shoujo these days:( I wanted the best for them all, and Nanami did not let anyone trample her.

The characters CHANGED and grew and I loved all of them! Even the side characters. I adore Nanami, and after seeing the anime-as good as it was-I can honestly say it truly doesn't do the manga much justice. And it gave me a love interest that wasn't just the jerk with a heart of gold-he was so much more than that. Kamisama Kiss gave me a SMART, SPUNKY, LIKABLE AND ENDEARING protagonist that I wanted to see succeed. I have read a LOT of shoujo, but it never hit me in the feels, and I always was annoyed with the heroine.
